The wig tree (Cotinus coggygria), resistant and rustic , will magnificently decorate a corner of your garden in the fall but also in spring thanks to its pretty foliage and its astonishing wig-shaped inflorescences.

The fairly large oval or obovate leaves up to 8 cm long give off a characteristic odor when crushed. The fruits, when present, are very small brown or lighter berries, wrinkled and shiny. Its colorful and feathery branches allow you to compose pretty fresh or dried bouquets.

Cotinus are used to fill poor soils with vegetation where they grow very well.

Warning: these plants are toxic if ingested and their sap is irritating to the skin or mucous membranes.
