Olivier in a light pot.

The Olivier is a fruit tree that produces olives, a fruit consumed in various forms and from which one of the main edible oils, olive oil, is extracted. A lasting gift

The Olivier is the symbol of peace, confidence, victory and strength. The olive tree is a tree appreciated for its fruit production but also as an ornamental tree.

How plant A Olivier ?
  1. As mentioned previously: choose the right location (in the sun, protected from strong winds, in well-draining soil).
  2. Dig a hole twice as large in height and width as the growing pot; then work the earth at the bottom of the hole by digging it.

In full earth , olive tree se plant from March to June. Know that the olive trees grow quite slowly and will require winter protection if you plant them in areas north of the Loire. The ideal is a non-woven winter veil in which the trunk and branches are wrapped.

In principle, the olive trees like sun, heat (and southern exposure) as well as dry, well-drained soils. Also avoid exposure to very strong winds.
