Stevia has a slight licorice aftertaste and a hint of bitterness . Remember that stevia has a much greater sweetening power than sugar! Furthermore, stevia contains almost no calories while sugar is very high in calories.

Properties and uses:
In our latitudes, stevia is grown in pots, completely organically, indoors or in a greenhouse. This plant fears drought and needs a lot of light: the seeds need heat and 16 hours of light per day to emerge, after soaking for 24 hours in cold water. Once the germination stage is successful, this plant requires little maintenance and light watering every two to three days. As an adult, it takes cuttings very easily. It flowers in August and September, and dies within a few weeks if the new flowers are not regularly removed.
